Origami Tears
This was my first ever film at University. Or ever. It was to be an experimental piece and so we did it as a spoof on typical University experimental films that are always about drug abuse and put a delightful Sockmonkey in place of the rubbish student actor most would get in. I think he gives a sterling performance. Not bad for a first go.
Business Jerk
First use of sound and it shows. Business Jerk is the story of a Business slash Family man who blurs the lines somewhat between his home and work life. First time working with sound. And child actors. We did better with the child than we did recording sound. Suck it W.C. Fields!
Electric Fisting
The F.A, Cup in 2008 was so dull I went outside and made this. I will finish it one day. Just so I can show more of Digga the Koala. And the script includes a hitchhiking scene.
Check and Mate
First film on 16mm. Shot on location in Union Square Park in New York City. An exercise in continuity and whether or not we could use only one roll of film to make a film. Processing is expensive.
A Shot In The Arm
An exercise in montage. I liked the song. I like this band shell (first stop on Murray Hewitt's tour of New York's Band shells). I like dressing up in a onesie and running about. We filmed and edited it.
The Golden Hawk vs El Diablo
Final film at New York Film Academy. Wanted to try some new things. These included dubbing, action, the Spanish language and subtitles. Some things worked and some didn't. But all in all it was well fun to make.
